How video games can be harnessed for religious worship – Telegraph.co.uk


Talk about video games and cathedrals in the same breath and you might expect to be talking of a digital battleground.

Manchester Cathedral being used as the site for a shoot out in Resistance: Fall of Man on PlayStation 3, for example. However, places of worship, technology and video games do not need to mean conflict. 

They both create a space away from ordinary life and invite us to enter, participate and interpret narratives in unique ways. They both spill over into the rest of life once we have finished participating in them.
