WARNING: There are SPOILERS ahead for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.
So if you’re yet to see the final installment to the Skywalker saga then please proceed cautiously.
At the end of The Rise Of Skywalker, Star Wars fans were overjoyed when Rey heard nearly a dozen Jedi voices, which meant that Ewan McGregor and Alec Guiness as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu and Frank Oz as Yoda, to name but a few, were all able to cameo.

One of the other actors to feature was Freddie Prinze Jr as Kanan Jarrus, a hugely popular Jedi Knight from the Star Wars Rebels animated series. The actor has now opened up about his return as Kanan, telling IGN that he was originally approached by Rebels creator Dave Filoni about the mysterious part.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, whatever you guys need.’ I always like to do that. And they were like, ‘Okay, but this one might be a little different.’ And so right away I was like, ‘Oh, it’s for the movie!’”
Prinze’s guess was right, because once he arrived J.J. Abrams was there and he soon started to break down the scene, as well as “what was going on with Rey and what she was needing from the Jedi at that point, because the Force provides you with what you need – not the Jedi per se, it’s the Force kind of dictating that.”

Abrams didn’t reveal which other characters were involved in the scene, although Prinze was made aware that more Jedi actors were set to record the exact same lines.
Obviously, Prinze was ecstatic to be involved in The Rise Of Skywalker in any capacity, and when it comes to the future of the franchise he is excited to see that Filoni is still involved with The Mandalorian, too, as he added, “I love Dave’s influence over the brand at this point.”
