HOLLYOAKS fans have threatened to stop watching after soap veteran Tony Hutchinson was stabbed.
Viewers were left horrified as he was left for dead by evil Breda after 25 years on the soap.
Tony – played by Nick Pickard – was seen fighting for his life in the final moments of the show, leaving fans fearing the worst.
They posted on social media in their droves, as they refused to accept he had been killed off.
One said: “I swear if Tony Hutchinson’s exit of Hollyoaks is as SHIT as that scene with Breda I’m putting in a complaint.
“Longest running actor on the show. There best be a second part to this where someone finds him before he dies or I’m not watching anymore. #Hollyoaks.”
Someone added: “If Tony is really dead then I’m not watching again although I have said this a number of times about Hollyoaks over the years! I think I might really mean it this time though. No awards for you next year Hollyoaks!”
Another added: “Seriously #hollyoaks wtf. If Tony’s dead I’m not watching again. This story line has been atrocious.”
Tony was attacked after discovering Breda had killed his son Harry.
He pleaded with her: “Harry was my son. You don’t get to decide who lives and dies, you’re not God.
“People make mistakes, you should help them.
“All that love and kindess you talk about, Harry could have had that. He could have been a better man.
“It wasn’t down to you to deprive him of his future, to take away my son.”
He then tries to grab Breda, as he shouts: “I’m not going to let you hurt anyone in this village again” before being brutally stabbed.
In an emotional montage, Tony’s life flashes before his eyes, including his children’s birth, wedding day and his recovery from cancer.
He lies on ground in the pouring rain as Breda looks down on him and says: “I’m sorry Tony. You really were one of the good ones.”
In his final moments, sobbing Tony sees his dead son Harry Thompson as he lies dying in the exact same circumstances as him.
Harry says: “Dad, it’s OK dad I’m here.”
Former footballer Harry – who is played by actor Parry Glasspool – was knifed to death by Breda for abandoning his newborn son in the hospital.
Giving in to his pain, Tony falls unconscious. The camera zooms out and shows him left for dead as Breda watches over him.
The episodes ended with a acoustic version of Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road playing as the credits rolled.
