Holly Willoughby: This Morning star gives rare insight in marriage amid bedroom comment

Holly Willoughby, 38, and Dan Baldwin tied the knot in 2007 and are parents to three children. The This Morning favourite missed the show on Monday because the couple were enjoying a long weekend in Italy, later revealing they had been watching Sir Elton John in concert, where he had dedicated a song to Holly Willoughby and her husband Dan Baldwin. Gushing about the romantic date night on the show, Holly gave a glimpse into her relationship as she explained how the incredible moment had come about. Speaking about a previous meeting with the legendary popstar, she told her co-host Phillip Schofield, 57: “I told him that Dan and I have a favourite lyric in a song, which is from Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues.

“It’s this one,” she added, as the hit song started playing in the studio.

“Live for each second without hesitation and never forget I’m your man,” she sang along, telling Phillip: “We love that bit.

“So I told him that, didn’t think anything of it,” Holly continued, before her This Morning colleague interjected mischievously with a remark about one of the song’s racier lyrics.

“So it’s not the ‘rolling like thunder under the covers’?” he asked, grinning.

“No, that would’ve been a slightly more awkward conversation, wouldn’t it?” she laughed.

“And then, we went to go and see the concert,” Holly continued. “We’re standing there and Elton goes, ‘I’m dedicating this song to Holly and Dan,’ and then played that song.

“It was one of the most magical moments of my life ever.”

However, Holly went on to reach out to fans who were in the crowd at Elton’s gig, begging for anyone who had filmed the moment to send her the footage.

“Because we were just watching it, I wasn’t filming,” she said.

“I mean, I filmed a lot of the rest of the concert,” she giggled. “But that bit I didn’t get.

“So, if anybody was there or if anybody was filming it and saw that bit I’d love to have it.”

The This Morning presenter previously revealed the Elton gig was the real reason for her absence from the show when she took to Instagram to share her delight at the singer dedicating the couple’s favourite song to them.

Sharing a selfie of the three of them together with her 5.6 million Instagram followers, she said: “What a weekend…

“Huge thank you to @eltonjohn for putting on the most incredible concert in Lucca.

“Songs were sung, memories were made and dreams came true when Elton dedicated a song to Dan and I,” she added.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
