This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have broken their silence after Piers Morgan made a furious expletive-filled rant about them winning another gong at last night’s TV Choice Awards.

The duo beat Good Morning Britain at the prestigious ceremony as they picked up the award for Best Daytime Show for the fourth year running, causing the presenter to blast their success.

‘Every time we come to these things I am told it’s our time,’ Piers raged. ‘It’s never our time, it’s always their time, f**k you and f**k your awards.’

Holly and Phil laughed at the footage on today’s episode and invited the sore loser to come into their studio to see the award.

‘We thought today we’d dedicate this year’s award to Piers Morgan,’ Phil began.

‘That’s the speech you want to give when you don’t win,’ Holly giggled.

Phil continued: ‘So Piers Morgan, whose middle names are spittle and bile, if you want to pop in and hold it Piers then we’ll leave it here for you so you can maybe come in and have your picture taken with it.

‘We love you Piers.’

Holly echoed: ‘We love you Piers, we do.’

We’ve got a funny feeling this will only irate Piers even further though…

The cream of the crop of television were honoured at last night’s awards, with big successes for Line Of Duty.

The BBC drama, which was officially named one of the most-watched shows in a decade, scooped the gong for Best Drama Series following a gripping fifth series which aired earlier this year.

On top of that, Adrian Dunbar was named Best Actor for his role as Superintendent Ted Hastings, beating the likes of Bodyguard’s Richard Madden, Poldark’s Aidan Turner and his co-star Martin Compston.
