But the actress isn’t the only member of her family in His Dark Materials, her father and co-star Will Keen is also in the show.
Her father plays the sinister Magisterium man Father MacPhail who was seen talking to Mr Coulter in episode two.
She said: “Well, he’s creepy, psychopath Magisterium guy. The weird thing is, he always plays psychopaths.
“Our first job together he was a drunk who killed me. So, I see him in this and I’m like, ‘That’s nothing!’”
Her mother is also in the entertainment industry and is actress, theatre director and writer María Fernández Ache.
His Dark Materials airs on BBC One on Sundays at 8pm and on HBO on Mondays in the US
