Halo: The Master Chief Collection to arrive on PC

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is finally making its way to PC to the excitement of mouse and keyboard-wielding gamers everywhere. The only questions that remain are when is it coming out and why has it taken so long?

The PC version of the Halo: Master Chief Collection will arrive in stages and even in chronological order. This means the first game we’ll see is Halo: Reach followed by Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and finally Halo 4.

This will help 343 industries, the developer responsible for this new series, ensure each game is ready for a PC release rather than releasing all of them at once. This will also do wonders for the multiplayer scenes of each game, ensuring each gets a fair shake rather than only a couple of games getting all the attention and some being left in the dust.

These games will also come with PC-standard features that consumers have come to expect including FOV sliders, 4k resolution and ultrawide monitor support, adjustable framerates and remappable keys.

Microsoft has also said that the games will “evolve and grow over time with community input”. We’re not quite sure yet which form this will take but it could mean anything from graphics upgrades and balance changes through to new maps or story content.

We don’t have a release date or a price yet, although we’re assured its soon – but we all know that means any time between now and Christmas in the gaming world.

Make sure you’re keeping up to date with the best new games coming out in 2019, we wouldn’t want you to miss out on anything.
