Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about the ‘special moment’ she shared when performing with late Glee star Naya Rivera.
Naya, 33, was declared dead on Monday after her body was found in Lake Piru, four days after she went missing on a boating trip with her son.
Following the tragic discovery, fans and co-stars have been sharing their tributes, with Gwyneth reminiscing on her guest star role in the show.
Gwyneth played Holly Holliday back in 2011 and performed a memorable version of the popular song Landslide with Naya and Heather Morris.
Posting the clip on Instagram, Gwyneth wrote: ‘Remembering beautiful @nayarivera today. Getting to sing in this trio with her was such a special moment.
‘I am in utter shock and disbelief that someone so full of life and passion and talent is no longer with us. And completely heart broken for her family.’
Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo commented: ‘The expression on her face this video is so moving.’
It comes after Naya’s co-star Amber Riley also posted a touching tribute to the star.
Taking to Instagram, Amber posted a video of her late friend singing along with the four-year-old – who she shares with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey – as they belted out a nursery rhyme together.
‘My favourite duet partner. I love you. I miss you. I don’t have words right now, just lots of feelings,’ she wrote alongside the clip.
‘Rest In Peace Angel, and know that your family will never have to worry about anything.’
Naya was last seen on July 8 when she rented a pontoon boat at the lake with her son – but when staff found the overdue boat later that afternoon, the youngster was asleep on board while his mum was missing.
Giving an update on the circumstances surrounding her death in a press conference, Sheriff Bill Ayub said: ‘We believe it was mid-afternoon when she disappeared.
‘The idea perhaps being that the boat started drifting, it was unanchored, and that she mustered enough energy to get her son back into the boat, but not enough to save herself.’
