GWEN Stefani and Blake Shelton are more than ready to get married, but apparently her religion won’t let her tie the knot just yet.
The singer is a practicing Roman Catholic and according to her religion, she can’t wed Blake until her previous marriage is annulled, according to People.

Sources close to the couple told the magazine that they are at a standstill in their relationship.
They said: “Blake was very serious about Gwen right from the start, and early on he thought about proposing.”
But then the source claimed they can’t move to the next step, because Gwen is still fighting to have her first marriage to Gavin Rossdale annulled.

Despite this bump in the road, the No Doubt singer is very much in love with Blake, and believes she’s found “the one” in him.
A friend close to the couple further confirmed their deep love for each other.
The source said: “It’s definitely headed toward marriage.”

The source further commented on their relationship: “They’re all very like-minded and comfortable with each other.”
“Gwen brings this sparkle to the country world. Her love for Blake is clear, and she’s been embraced by everyone.”

The two met in 2015 when Gwen became a coach on The Voice and they now have one of the most solid relationships in Hollywood.

Gwen was previously married to Bush singer Gavin.
They met while their bands toured together with The Goo Goo Dolls before marrying in 2002.
But shortly after saying “I do,” Gavin discovered he had a teen daughter, model Daisy Lowe.
Then, in 2015, Gwen and Gavin were hit with rumors he hooked up with the family nanny.
“It was the beginning of hell,” Stefani told Harper’s Bazaar of the cheating scandal. Gwen finally filed for divorce that year.
Blake was previously married to country star Miranda Lambert. They divorced in 2015.
