Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer join forces for epic Hella Mega Tour as they announce new albums

Rock royalty Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer have joined forces for The Hella Mega Tour and we’re already obsessed.

The epic tour will see the three bands take to stadiums in cities across the world during summer 2020 including Paris, London, Glasgow, Dublin, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

Plus, the three of them have announced new albums and released new singles to give us all a cheeky glimpse into what we can expect.

We have been well and truly blessed.

Green Day have announced the lead single Father Of All for their new album of the same name, with Fall Out Boy releasing their track Dear Future Self (Hands Up) for their record Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two.

Meanwhile, Weezer, who previously released a surprise album full of covers, revealed that their new single The End of the Game, will be featured on their 14th studio album, Van Weezer.

To add to all the exciting news, the three bands will be taking over Jimmy Kimmel Live with performances of their new tracks.

We feel like we need a lie down.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong explained: ‘It’s kind of a Green Day idea. And we talked about how we weren’t really wanting to do stadiums and do something that was like throwback to Monsters Of Rock Tour.

‘There was, of course, Fall Out Boy and Weezer and now we’re stoked.’

He added on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 radio show: ‘It’s exciting, you know? But I mean I really kind of look forward to maybe actually putting out more music. I think just we finished our record contract… we’re free agents.

‘So we’re just going to end up putting out more stuff. We’ll probably put out more stuff before the tour actually. And then I think not tour as long, but effective touring.’

We’ll just be biding our time until next year. And revisiting our black eyeliner collection.

The Hella Mega Tour will kick off in June 2020.
