MUSIC’s most prestigious award ceremony the Grammy Awards will return for the 62nd edition of the event in January 2020.

Here are the key details you need to make sure you know exactly when to tune in to special show.

When is the Grammy Awards 2020?

The 2020 Grammy Awards will take place on January 26, 2020 and as always it will celebrate all things music.

The nominees were announced last month and Lizzo is leading the way with an impressive eight nominations.

She could also battle it out with teenager Billie Eilish for Song of Year, with their respective popular hits Juice and Bad Guy.

They may also go head-to-head with Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande for the Album of Year gong, as both women have had great success with their respective EPs, Lovers and Thank U, Next.

Other names floating around for various awards include Lil Nas X, whose track Old Town Road was an instant hit, Summer Walker, Lewis Capaldi and Rosalia.

Where is the Grammy Awards 2020 going to be held?

The 2020 Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The arena will host the awards show for a second consecutive year, after New York’s Madison Square Garden hosted the ceremony in 2018.

Since 2000, the Grammys has only been held outside of the Staples Center twice, both times at the world’s most famous arena Madison Square Garden.

Last year saw Childish Gambino and Kacey Musgraves pick up the most awards with four each, whilst Dua Lipa won the award for best new artist.

Who is hosting the Grammy Awards 2020?

The 2020 Grammy Awards will be hosted by 2019 host Alicia Keys.

Alicia, has won a staggering 15 Grammy awards, with her most recent win coming in 2014 for best R&B album, Girl on Fire.

In 2019, she famously sang a medley of songs by Drake, Lauryn Hill, Kings of Leon, Ella Mai, Sting, The Fugees and Nat King Cole.

She ended the impressive set by belting out her own track, Empire State of Mind, which she featured on with Jay-Z.

This will be the first time that the musician has hosted the Grammy Awards.
