GOOD Morning Britain fans claimed Richard Madeley “looks like Donald Trump” and “an action man in a suit” as they marvelled at his tanned face.
Viewers were left gawping at the telly today as the 62-year-old host appeared on screen looking extremely bronzed.
Richard, who is standing in for Piers Morgan as he takes his Easter break, opened the show shaking yellow Maracas but fans were more interested in his health and looks.
One fan mused: “‘I’m wondering if Richard’s actually had a spray tan, with that and his extraordinary hair he’s beginning to look like action man in a suit!”
Another concerned viewer said: “What colour is Madeley this morning. Is it from the shade of tan from the high blood pressure range?”
And another asked: “Why has richard madeley got a trump tan and hair”
Another fan said on Twitter: “Just switched #gmb on did a double take. Did Madeley forget to tan his ears after trowelling the Ronseal across his face?”
And one more said: “Glad to isn’t just me then, who ever applied the fake tan didn’t do the hands”
Earlier this week, Richard revealed he’d recently took a trip to France, where sympathetic locals gave him croissants and coffee for free because of Brexit.
The legendary host, who has been compared to Steve Coogan’s alter ego Alan Partridge, also stunned viewers on Monday when he interviewed a Britain’s Got Talent act comprised of kids and told them their performance “wasn’t perfect”.
He also pummelled their headteacher, who danced with them on stage, with awkward questions about their “deprived” background.
David Walliams’ Golden Buzzer act were invited on GMB after leaving Ant and Dec and the judges in tears with their dance routine to Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now led by their teacher Dave McPartlin.
Richard got off on the wrong foot with viewers when he made a remark about their imperfect dancing and Dave said: “It definitely wasn’t perfect. But that was the point.”
Richard then asked Dave if he’d had a “good education” and if he was “happy at school”, before saying: “You don’t live in an easy area, I think 60 per cent of the kids in your school are on free school meals. It’s a heavily deprived area.”
Fans reacted on Twitter and one wrote: “Richard basically saying the school is based in a s*** hole”
As another viewer quipped: “So, @richardm56 manages to swear on breakfast telly, and tells a group of primary school children their @BGT performance “wasn’t perfect”…
“Does this man have no filter?”
