GMB fans fuming as Apprentice star says old people 'shouldn't be allowed to vote'

Good Morning Britain viewers weren’t happy this morning as a guest suggested elderly people shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Former Apprentice contestant Joanna Jarjue divided fans when she argued that over 70s ought to be banned from elections.

Certain outraged viewers called for Piers Morgan to return to voice his opinions on the controversial topic.

On Twitter, one viewer griped: “I can’t believe what I’ve just watched! So when you reach 70 you should lose your vote? What absolute rubbish.”

A second moaned: “Who the hell does that girl think she is by saying over 70s shouldn’t be allowed to vote? My Mum is 73, a local county councillor and voted remain. You shouldn’t allow people to promote ageist views.”

While a third added: “The arrogance of the woman claiming she speaks for the majority of young people not wanting over 70’s to vote. Is that the way we should treat our elderly? Absolutely disgraceful. Let’s hope her grandparents aren’t watching!”

Good Morning Britain airs at 6am on weekdays on ITV.
