Global Esports is an Indian esports organisation that operates teams in a variety of games, including Dota 2, Counter-Strike and PUBG. The team is a partner organisation in the VALORANT Champions Tour Pacific (VCT Pacific), the top-tier VALORANT league in the region.

The collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Santanu Hazarika led to the creation of a unique jersey design that incorporates a colourful design that uses Global Esports colours and Hazarika’s visual style. The jersey is inspired by the lion that featured in the Global Esports’ VCT Capsule, which was released in February and provides an additional revenue source for VALORANT teams.

The jersey will be a limited edition drop for fans of the team. The designer and Global Esports noted that the jersey looked to be described as an “art piece” as well as an esports jersey at the same time.

Santanu Hazarika commented on the partnership: “I have always been inspired by gaming as an artist since I was a child. And I am a gamer myself! I instantly connected with the GE team as we both have a common ground when it comes to pop culture and gaming.

“They enabled me to explore a whole new world of how big esports is, which helped me incorporate elements of gaming, fashion and art together for a jersey different from anything else the esports world has ever seen.”

Global Esports will compete in the upcoming Stage 1 of the VCT Pacific which starts later this month and will last until May 15th. The best-performing teams will advance to the VCT Masters Shanghai tournament in late May and early June.
