Gleneagles relaunches its retail arcade in time for Christmas shopping

Gleneagles Hotel has relaunched its iconic Victorian-style retail arcade in time for the Christmas shopping season following a design makeover by international group Ennismore, the hotel’s owners.

The makeover is the first significant change to the arcade following the £500,000 armed jewellery robbery there in 2017.

The Ennismore Design Studio redesigned new look arcade aims to “pay homage to the classic British and French galleries, whilst offering a modern boutique retail experience.”

The arcade features a range of luxury brands and is now the exclusive Scottish stockist for many lines including Le Monde Beryl, Drakes and Chinti & Parker.

Seven boutiques present a range of pieces from fashion, accessories and beauty to homeware, children’s clothes and artisan fine foods.

The Cashmere Rooms celebrates Scottish and British craftsmanship, from classic scarves and sweaters to contemporary statement pieces that aim to showcase the beauty of the fabric. Brands include &Daughter, Edamame and Pringle.

New children’s boutique, Hop & Scotch, has a range of children’s gifts including specially-selected clothing lines, toys and teddies. Brands include Liewood Design, Little Borne and Derek Rose. The Cabinet aims to be a one-stop shop for luxury skincare and fine fragrances and includes bathroom cabinets. Brands include Dr Barbara Sturm, Kingdom Scotland and Teresa Tarney.

A new lifestyle and evening wear boutique, Number 7, is filled with contemporary pieces with brands including Olivia Van Halle, Orlebar Brown and Janavi. Gleneagles & Co is a boutique devoted to homeware created in collaboration with local, Scottish and British artisan makers – from handcrafted leather goods to chocolate bars made by the Gleneagles pastry team.

A new jewellery store, 1924, will showcase a range of contemporary luxury brands, including Jessica McCormack, Wwake and Melissa Kaye. The Still Room showcases more than 200 fine, rare and independent Scotch whiskies.

Gleneagles’ joint managing director Conor O’Leary, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our new-look Retail Arcade in time for the start of the Christmas shopping season.

“Following a beautiful makeover by our own in-house designers, the Gleneagles Retail Arcade is now a unique gift shopping destination that showcases an enviable range of luxurious brands and some of the finest craftsmanship in Scotland and the UK.”
