Glastonbury Festival has released an official statement about the closure of its showers
Country star Carrie Underwood just played a somewhat flat set on the Pyramid Stage. Despite having a litany of festival bops – such as “Last Name” and “Before He Cheats” – in her arsenal, she seemed to be going through the motions, delivering an uninspiring performance. Perhaps she’s feeling as hot and sluggish as the rest of us. Disappointing from such a seasoned stadium performer. – Alexandra Pollard
The water shortage has been confirmed and the showers remain close across the site.

Vampire Weekend are covering Fleetwood Mac’s Everywhere rather anaemically over at the Park Stage for their “secret set” this morning. Not sure if it’s the hangovers or the performance but the response is lacklustre. “Are you guys hydrated? This guy just said no.” Top patter too. – Anna Leszkiewicz
This video was shown on the Pyramid Stage between acts, before the Proclaimers played
Overheard outside a burger stand: “HEY PETE! LOOK! It’s SEASICK STEVE. Oh, no it isn’t.” – Anna Leszkiewicz
