With Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary taking place next year, there are bound to be some special surprises in store – meaning it won’t hurt to register before tickets go on sale on 6 October.
To do so, all you need to do is visit the Glastonbury Festival website and fill in your details. But you need to be quick, because registration closes today (Monday, 30 September) at 5pm.
General admission tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, 6 October, while coach and ticket packages go on sale three days earlier on Thursday, 3 October.
Tickets will cost £265 per person plus a £5 booking fee, of which a £50 deposit (plus coach fare if you’re buying a package) is payable when booking in October. The balance is payable in the first week of April 2020.
Those wishing to go have to register on the website for free. Those who have already registered in the past do not have to do so again.

Here’s what you need to know
Registration is free of charge and can be done at www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk .
Children aged 12 and under when the festival takes place are admitted free of charge, do not need a ticket and do not need to register.
Registration does not guarantee a ticket.
You will need to upload a recent, colour photograph of yourself which includes both your head and shoulders. It’s safest to use your most recent passport photo, if possible, or at least one that shows you with a clear, neutral expression with nothing obscuring your face.
The photo also has to be in the JPEG format, between 100KB – 500KB in size, and at least 900 pixels wide and 1350 pixels tall. If your photo gets rejected, you can just repeat the process.
The last day of 2019’s Glastonbury Festival included sets from Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Vampire Weekend, and The Cure. Rumoured headliners for 2020 include Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney and Elton John.
