Glastonbury 2019 FULL LINE-UP: The Killers and The Cure join Stormzy as headliners

After taking a fallow year, Glastonbury Festival is back once again at Worthy Farm. And now the final headliners have been announced as The Killers and The Cure, who will perform on the Saturday and Sunday evenings respectively. The announcement of the two bands follows the reveal that Stormzy will headline the Pyramid stage on the Friday. This is the fourth time The Cure have headlined Glastonbury and their first in doing so since 1995.

Emily Eavis wrote: “We are so saddened to hear about the passing of Keith Flint.

“He’s played here so many times with the Prodigy and was booked for 2019. What an incredible frontman.”

Captioning a video of their performance, she added: “Here’s a clip from ‘97 when they were the first dance band to headline Glastonbury – a huge, unforgettable moment.”

Meanwhile, the BBC has secured broadcast rights to Glastonbury until 2022.

Eavis said of the deal: “We have worked closely with a fantastic team at the BBC since 1997 – it has become an integral part of what we do at Glastonbury.

“Together we have created something really special – two decades of historic live broadcast from many of the biggest names in contemporary music.”

The 2017 festival saw a record-breaking 18.9 million viewers tune in.

Glastonbury Festival takes place between June 26-30, 2019.
