GLAMOUR columnist, Diipa Khosla, shares the beauty gadgets she can't live without

After years of working with the top beauty brands in the world, not many products get me that excited anymore but beauty tech has reinstated my passion for all things beauty.

Technology and gadgets are now becoming more and more prevalent in different industries and it’s been interesting seeing this trend seep into the beauty industry.

Beauty gadgets can do everything from giving your skin a deep cleanse to firming and tightening the skin, as well as fighting the first signs of ageing. When used with the best skincare products, you can achieve incredible skin goals in the comfort of your own home. That’s why in my column this month, I’m excited to share some of my favourites with you…

The skin toning devices I swear by

I order a lot of my gadgets from Look Fantastic. They offer a great selection on their website. A few months ago I started using the NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device. It has this micro-current technology that helps tone the face and minimise wrinkles and fine lines. The HoMedics Radiance Microdermabrasion is also an amazing device to firm my skin. I use both of these on an alternating basis about 4 to 5 times a week. I like to finish off with a rich and firm face cream like the Guerlain Abeille Royal Rich cream. It almost feels like you are giving yourself a professional facial at home when you use these.

How I achieve squeaky skin

For cleansing I’ve been loving using the Luna Mini 2 by Foreo which is an electronic facial cleanser. It looks quite futuristic and really deep cleanses the skin. They even have one that completely analyses your skin by connecting to a special app on your phone. I love using it with any soft facial cleansers, usually I use the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser.

The hair hero I can’t live without

I think a lot of people have been obsessing over this already, but I am truly a big fan of the Dyson Hairdryer. At first I didn’t know what to think of it, but when a hairdresser used it on me at the salon, I was convinced. Not only does it look very cool, it also really helps dry my very thick hair so quickly. I can’t wait to try more of their hair tools.

Why an electronic toothbrush is an essential

When it comes to dental hygiene, electronic toothbrushes are nothing new and it might not really be considered a “beauty gadget”, but I have been using an electronic toothbrush for years now. Oral B has been my go-to one for years. It’s so important to take good care of your teeth and I personally think that an electronic toothbrush is the perfect gadget for everyone to use.

My secret hack for brighter eyes

Another one my favourite ‘gadgets’ to de-puff my face when I wake up in the morning are ice rollers. You fill them with water and keep them in the fridge or freezer. It really helps wake up and kick-start your skin for the day and reduces the look and feeling of puffiness so much. I ordered mine off Amazon.

Later this year I’m hoping to travel to South Korea and visit the Beauty Expo. It’s apparently the place to be when it comes to new and innovative beauty, so I can’t wait to find new gadgets when I’m there and report back.
