Geri Horner was left all up in her feelings during All Together Now, after a contestant forced her to relive her Spice Girls exit.

BBC aired scenes from the singing competition, where Geri serves as the head judge, on Saturday showing the singer struggle with her emotions after a hopeful performed Spice Girl’s 1998 hit Goodbye.

The song was the group’s first-ever vocals without Ginger Spice, released months after the 46-year-old announced her departure to the dismay of fans all over the world.

Fast forward to 2019 and the mother-of-two is wiping away tears on Saturday’s episode as Ben hoped to fight for a place on the show, however, Geri did not pick him.

Explaining her choice, she said: ‘Ben, do you know what the history behind that song is?’

The wannabe replied: ‘I thought it was the message they had to you when you left the band.’

‘Yeah, that’s right,’ she replied. ‘So when I left the band it was really sad and it [his performance] completely brought me back to that moment.

‘Bringing all those feelings back. It wasn’t bad what you did, it was quite a ballsy choice.’

Trying to justify his creative decision he pointed at fellow judge Celestina Diamond, who was also wiping tears away, and said: ‘There are more tears there it was a risk but …’

Host Rob Beckett interrupted and joked: ‘You’ve just come in and made everyone sad, Ben.’

Geri’s tears come as the band is back on track – without Victoria Beckham – for a reunion tour.

In the run-up to much-anticipated gigs, Mel B dropped a bombshell claiming she slept Geri in the late 90s.

Mel dropped the bombshell during an interview with Piers Morgan, but has downplayed the Good Morning Britain host’s claims that ‘it’s all kicking off’ since she went public with the revelations.

‘I was actually on the phone with Geri’, Mel told an Australian radio station. ‘I did the interview and I just text her, “I admitted on Piers that we had a little bit of a thing, but don’t worry about it, it was all tongue-in-cheek and I didn’t go into detail.

‘This was pre your husband, pre your baby, pre one of my babies, so don’t worry.” We had a long conversation. Yeah, she text me the night of and I spoke to her at length today, among other things, as we’re getting ready for tour.’

Away from the Geri news, Spice Girls fans also don’t have long to wait until they’ll get to see the spicy gang perform as the long-awaited tour kicks off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 27 May before they head to Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and finally London.
