GEMMA Collins has been banned from running a company for three years after dodging more than £70,000 in tax.
Reality star Gemma, 39, paid herself out of her clothing firm’s funds despite missing VAT deadlines.
The Insolvency Service launched an investigation after the ex-Towie contestant finally put Gemma Collins Boutique Limited into liquidation in 2017.
Gemma, who also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice, had opened the boutique in 2013 at a shop in Brentwood, Essex.
The investigation revealed that £280,000 had gone out of its bank account between July 2015 and June 2017 when it was behind on its VAT returns.
The money included £33,298 paid to Gemma, £16,086 to “unknown parties” and £18,539 to connected firms.
During the four years it operated, Gemma Collins Boutique Limited paid only £6,614 in VAT.
When Gemma closed it down, it owed £71.745.
Gemma, who presents her own BBC podcast, was disqualified from acting as a director of any UK company until 2023.
She resigned as a director of her other companies, Gemma Collins Limited and Gemma Collins Clothing Limited, last month ahead of the ban which came into force on February 14.
Her spokesman was approached for comment.
