Gary Neville says he’d prefer to see Liverpool win the title on either March 14 or April 4 – and has explained his reason.
Liverpool, who currently sit 19 points clear of champions Manchester City at the top of the table, have pretty much wrapped up the title already this season.
Manchester United legend Neville has regularly made it clear he is dreading the day the Red Devils’ rivals win the title.
But Neville appears to have now come to terms with the fact the Reds are going to win it – and has come up with two dates in which he’d prefer for it to happen.
The first is on March 14 and the second on April 4.
Manchester City could hand Liverpool the title on March 14 if they drop points against Burnley. They could do the same thing if they drop points against Southampton on April 4.

Neville favours these two dates because he is not working for Sky Sports on either day, meaning his reaction to Liverpool winning the league won’t be caught on camera.
The former right-back told Sky Sports, amid much laughter from Jamie Carragher: “I have just been given my March and April fixtures this morning and my absolute preference is for Manchester City to drop points at either Burnley or Southampton and hand Liverpool the title because there are no Sky cameras anywhere near me.

“They are both Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock and I can be at home, relaxed, out of the way. The last place I want to be is in the stadium when they win it.
“I know that doesn’t suit the company or Sky or maybe even Liverpool fans, or even anybody at home, but if City can drop points at either Burnley or Southampton that would be ideal.”
