Game of Thrones season 8: Jaime Lannister murders Cersei after secret’s exposed?

Cersei (played by Lena Headey) told Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) she was with child after the pair have already seen three of their offspring die on Game of Thrones.

But Cersei may be harbouring a secret regarding the matter, and when Jaime finds out there may be hell to pay on the HBO series.

In a poll conducted by concerning Cersei’s pregnancy, an overwhelming majority of 43 percent don’t think that Cersei is pregnant at all and she lied to Jaime.

They may believe she was doing so in order to keep Jaime on her side as she knew his loyalty was being tested.

However, it failed to work as he ended up riding out of King’s Landing away from her at the end of season seven.

Meanwhile, 14 per cent believe the unborn baby could be used a sacrifice for the Night King (Vladimir Furdik).

Viewers have previously seen this method used by the now-dead wildling Craster (Robert Pugh) who gave away his baby sons to the White Walkers in order to keep them away from his hold.

But would Cersei do this to protect her place on the Throne?

A further 13 per cent think Jaime could kill both Cersei and the baby.

While 11 per cent think she will lose the child during conflict and another 11 per cent believe the baby will survive but she won’t.

Although not many reckon she’ll die along with the infant when giving birth to it, as it received on eight per cent of the vote.

Cersei refused to send the Lannister armies up North to battle with the army of the undead.

Her tactic is to leave her enemies to fight the terrifying wights and White Walkers because she knows if the Night King was defeated, whoever’s left after the carnage would turn back to try and challenge her to the Iron Throne.

Cersei’s ally Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) has set off to recruit the Golden Company, a group of mercenaries for hire, from Essos.

The thrilling trailer for the eighth series appears to show the Golden Company making their way over to King’s Landing.

A boat of armed men was seen in the preview and the figure leading at front of the ship with his face concealed could be Harry Strickland.

In the source material, A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry is the captain-general of the Golden Company.

However, in the books he is described as being fat and balding, far from the depiction of the character seen in the trailer.

It looks like viewers will have to wait and see if it is really him.

Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on Sunday, April 14 on HBO in the USA, and Monday, April 15 on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
