Game of Thrones salaries: Who’s paid most? Is Kit Harington paid more than Emilia Clarke?

Game of Thrones has now concluded for good. The final season was much shorter than the other 7 chapters of the hit-HBO series, a decision allegedly made by writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Although the season was the shortest, it came with one of the highest budgets in television history, with £11 million ($15 million) per episode.

Who is the highest paid actor on Game of Thrones?

There were very few – if any – new characters introduced in the final series of Game of Thrones, meaning those who took part had been on since the beginning.

To keep the actors through each season, HBO had to provide some gigantic paychecks, especially to those instrumental to the final outcome of the show.

The salaries for the highest paid actors are included below.

List of highest paid actors on Game of Thrones:

– Emilia Clarke: £938,200 ($1.2 million) per episode, series total £5.6 million ($7.2 million)

– Kit Harington: £938,200 ($1.2 million) per episode, series total £5.6 million ($7.2 million)

These top seven actors made a combined total of £29 million for series 8 of Game of Thrones.

According to these figures, there was also no gender disparity, with male and female actors paid the same.

The overall budget for the series puts Game of Thrones as the most expensive television show of all-time.

By comparison, series 9 of AMC blockbuster The Walking Dead cost an average of £5 million less per episode.
