Aldi’s facial and hair care range came out on top, with fans praising its shampoo, eye gel, and facial oil.

The supermarket was praised also for its steaks, wagyu burgers, cake mixes and Greek yogurts, with customers saying they had a long-shelf life.

A social media poll asked shoppers what the best and worst foods from Aldi are, prompting a flurry of responses from keen bargain hunters.

Customers rated 54 products highly, but there were 37 items to avoid, The Mirror revealed.

Aldi’s Big Daddy Steak and its Dirty Fries got dozens of mentions.

But it was only rolled out across stores in January and in time for Father’s Day.

Aldi’s Thai fish cakes and chicken tikka ready meals were also on the ‘must get’ list.

Customers appeared divided on Aldi’s Snackrite variety crisps, a rival to Walkers.

Shoppers were not so keen on Aldi’s own brand ketchup or their lasagne ready meal.
