Trends come and go, but two haircuts in particular have stood the test of time. A chic bob and a banging fringe. Timeless, classic and a little bit sexy, both add a peekaboo element of drama to your hair. One shows off necks and collarbones. The other skims lashes. Together? That’s one very sexy combination. Yet, it still manages to feel relaxed and quietly confident.
These days, both bobs and fringes seem all the more alluring, since they’re two cuts that have been hard to maintain during lockdown. Both will have started to grow out and lose their shape without the skilful eye of our fave hairstylists tending to them. If you haven’t seen a slick chop in weeks and are living vicariously through Instagram throw-backs, we feel you.
But, with the change of the season and the world opening back up, lots of us feel ready for a spring clean to add some order to the wild state of our hair. Pruning back overgrown layers is its own mini cleanse, that’s why we predict we’ll see a trend for going even shorter in order to feel extra fresh.
For a trendy spin on the style, midi fringes (cut back above brows) will make an appearance over spring and summer and bobs will hit jawbones and higher. However, swooshy curtain fringes and heavy, full-looking bobs are a beautiful and classic nod to the trend, that always looks beautiful.

Short fringe, long bob
The midi fringe looks cool and modern. The longer-length bob is versatile enough to style into low pontails or a micro bun.

The timeless Parisian-inspired French bob is super chic, plus the shorter length bob and fringe feels a little daring.

Long, lash-skimming fringes feel seductive and romantic. Paired with a swooshy, longer-length bob and you have yourself a look that will never go out of fashion.
