Fortnite gets ANOTHER new update, but it's not all bad news

Fortnite fans will need to download another new update, less than 48 hours after the last one.

Just days after the release of Fortnite update 8.20, Epic is back with another patch for Battle Royale fans.

The good news is that the servers haven’t been taken offline, so you won’t have to find something else to do all morning.

The bad news is that the new Fortnite update doesn’t really do a lot.

There are no new weapons, no exciting new events and no big changes to the gameplay.

Instead, the new Fortnite update fixes some bugs and improves the overall stability of the game.

“We have deployed a new patch to fix some bugs and stability issues,” reads an Epic tweet. “The list of fixes will be available soon. This update will not require downtime.”

We’ll have the full list of patch notes soon.

The last Fortnite update was much more exciting.

Available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, it added a brand new Poison Trap item.

Like something out of Indiana Jones, it fires poison projectiles when triggered by other players.

“It’s a Poison Trap! Catch your opponents off guard with this new addition. But remember, watch where you step,” Epic explains.

Fans can also take advantage of new healing items scattered around the map. This includes Bananas, Coconuts and Peppers.

Perhaps the most exciting addition of all is the limited time Floor is Lava event.

“Lava gradually rises from the lowest parts of the map, and it’s hot!” Epic explains. “Drop in and quickly loot and gather materials so you can be the first to reach the high ground.”
