The classic car, which was given to her by Mark, was set alight as the family sat on the beach after he and Vivien announced they’d married in Gibraltar.

He spotted the car was on fire as he came back to the house, warning everyone to get back before it exploded.

One viewer tweeted: “Oh wow, I wonder who set the car on fire… Does her name rhyme with Scary by any chance?”

Another mused: “Getting intriguing. It definitely wasn’t any of the children who torched the car.

“The neighbour is the one to watch, thought she would be a sideline character but you don’t give a small part to Imelda Staunton.”

However, others reckoned she was working with Vivien’s new man Mark to bring down the family.

One wrote: “Nah I’m right Mary and Mark are in this plot together.”
