FIFA 20 Ultimate Team: September Premier League Player of the Month Prediction (POTM) – Aubameyang, Bernardo Silva & more

Each month EA draw, up a shortlist of players in contention to win Player of the Month (POTM) with the winner decided by a public vote.

The winner’s card is then only available by completing a Squad Building Challenge (SBC) on FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. As the cards are not available in packs, they are extremely rare and expensive to get your hands on.

RealSport take a look at the prime contenders to pick up September’s prize.

Tammy Abraham (OVR 76 – POTM 84)

Chelsea youth product Tammy Abraham continued his hot run of form with three goals in three matches in September. Abraham has epitomised the philosophy that Frank Lampard has brought into the club and repaid his manager’s faith with seven league goals to date. More experienced strikers Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi have their work cut out to displace the young hotshot from the Blues starting lineup.

If Abraham is selected as September’s PL POTM then anticipate his card to be incredibly popular. His overall may reach as high as 84 which combined with his physicality make him a real prospect. Abraham costs just 800 coins on Xbox and PS4 while his 81 OVR IF card will cost 16,750 coins on PS4 and slightly more on Xbox.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (OVR 88 – IF 92)

A goal per game so far this season shows an impressive return for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Four goals in three games make him the in-form striker this month as he looks to retain his Golden Boot award. Arsenal have been consistently inconsistent which comes as no surprise these days, however the Gabonese hitman keeps churning out goals earning his place among Europe’s elite.

A massive 92 OVR could be in store for the Arsenal hitman should he be selected as September’s POTM. FUT fans love playing as the pacey striker anyway, and a 92 rated Aubameyang could be close to unstoppable! Auba’s base card costs a whopping 390,000 coins on PS4 and 347,000 on Xbox.

Aaron Cresswell (OVR 76 – IF 84)

West Ham left back Aaron Cresswell only featured due to a suspension to Arthur Masuaku, however he has grabbed his opportunity with both hands scoring twice in two games and helping the Irons to extend their unbeaten run to six. Cresswell is the outside shot for POTM having only appeared in two matches in September.

Cresswell could become a popular choice at left back among FUT fans if he wins POTM. Potentially rated 84 OVR, the left footed technician possesses quality on the ball and would be equipped with extra pace should he receive a boost. The West Ham left back costs 950 coins on PS4 and just over 1,000 on Xbox while his IF card is available for a little over 10,000 coins on both consoles.

Bernardo Silva (OVR 87 – IF 91)

A blistering hat-trick against Watford and an assist against Norwich display a fruitful month for Bernardo Silva. Having started the season slowly by his standards, the Portuguese wizard has hit his stride now and is well in contention for September POTM. City already have some work to do to catch rivals Liverpool, however with their attack showing signs that they are hitting top form it should make for an exciting season.

City winger Silva could see his OVR boosted to a massive 91 if he gets a POTM card, this will include a frightening dribble stat which is 92 on his basic card already! Silva can be bought on PS4 for 29,000 coins and 34,000 coins on Xbox.

Callum Wilson (OVR 80 – IF 87)

England striker Callum Wilson scored in each of his three games in September, racking up four goals in total. Wilson has fired the Cherries into the top six as the look to be one of the teams fighting to break up the league’s big boys. With games against Norwich and Watford coming up next month, Wilson will be confident in continuing his hot streak in front of goal.

Already an effective player on FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, Wilson’s pace and power make him a real handful. In with a good chance of winning POTM, Wilson will be blessed with outrageous pace as well as clinical shooting attributes to make him the man to lead the line for your team. Wilson is available on the FUT transfer market for between 7,000 and 8,000 coins on both PS4 and Xbox.
