Fantasy football scout tips for gameweek 17: Alexandre Lacazette, Dele Alli, Danny Ings and more

Alexandre Lacazette

Unai Emery’s departure does not seem to have stopped the rot at Arsenal but a meeting with West Ham’s woeful defence offers scope for a first win for Freddie Ljungberg.

Keeping low-owned Alexandre Lacazette on the pitch might be a good idea. Lacazette scored Arsenal’s equaliser in the defeat to Brighton, only to be substituted.

Dele Alli

Even though Jose Mourinho suffered his first setback as manager of Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night, Dele Alli continues to land among the goals.

After a brace against Bournemouth, Dele bagged another at Old Trafford to maintain a run of form which has produced six attacking returns in seven games.

Martin Kelly

Crystal Palace’s injury problems at the back were exacerbated by Mamadou Sakho’s sending off on Tuesday night, but this means more opportunities for Martin Kelly.

Kelly is priced at £4.1m and should slot in at right-back to offer a cheap route into Roy Hodgson’s defence, with a trip to basement-dwelling Watford up next.

Danny Ings

There are several in-form strikers around the Premier League at the moment but by far the cheapest is Danny Ings, who scored his fourth in as many games against Norwich.

A trip to St James’ Park is not quite as promising as two home games against the bottom two but Ings has the form and fixtures to be a sound investment.

Riyad Mahrez

The 179th Manchester derby is Saturday’s tea-time kick-off and the Premier League champions look back to their best after a dominant win at Burnley.

Pep Guardiola’s rotation policy makes picking any Manchester City player a risk, but Riyad Mahrez spent much of Tuesday night warming the bench before adding a late goal.

Honourable mentions: Dean Henderson, Ricardo Pereira, Christian Pulisic, Ismaila Sarr, Marcus Rashford
