Everton board at odds over next manager decision as Moshiri, Kenwright and Brands clash


He wants to have a manager who will advocate high-pressing and provoke excitement in the crowd but it is unknown which candidates he believes can achieve this.

Vitor Pereira has emerged as the frontrunner over the last week and Sky Sports report that Everton want a new man in charge in time for Everton’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday.

Shanghai SIPG desperately want the Portuguese tactician to stay, however, and are reportedly considering a £25m-a-season contract offer to keep him.

Everton have held talks with the former Porto boss over the last week and are ostensibly willing to hand him a three-and-a-half year contract.
