She co-stars in the show with South African stage actress Amra-Faye Wright as Velma and Tony winner Paulo Szot as the fast-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.

The role was a natural fit for Erika, who has had multiple dance hits since releasing her debut album Pretty Mess in 2009.

She’s expected to lead the production through March 29.

The TV star gushed about her role to People back in September: ‘I’m beyond excited to join the cast of the legendary musical,’ she said. ‘Having been a fan of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon’s work it is an honor and a dream to play Roxie Hart.’
