Emmerdale actor Danny Miller ventured to the Emerald Isle for St Patrick’s Day weekend this year – but things quickly went pear-shaped.
The 29-year-old, who plays Aaron Dingle on Emmerdale, revealed his bag was stolen during the trip.
Danny was forced to start flashing his credit card in order to get by – using the opportunity to do some retail therapy.
Sharing a picture of himself posing against a wall of graffiti in Dublin, he modelled a brand-new outfit.
In a caption, he said: “When a homeless man steals your bag on holiday, so you have to give the credit card a nudge. Luck of the Irish I guess.”
Adding the caption “can’t beat them join them,” the soap star made it clear he wasn’t going to allow the incident to ruin his trip.
In the comments below, Danny’s 413,000 followers expressed their regret over the theft, as they complimented his trendy new look.
One said: “You’re lucky he only stole your bag!”
A second agreed: “Sorry about your bag getting stolen Danny but you look very dapper.”
And a third chimed: “Oh no, so sorry this happened to you. I hope it hasn’t spoiled your trip. Looking very stylish xx”
Danny hasn’t featured on Emmerdale for the past few weeks, as he enjoys some well-deserved time off.
However, Aaron Dingle is reportedly due to wreak havoc in the dales when he returns in the coming weeks.
A source told The Sun: “Fans have definitely missed Aaron on screen but they won’t have long to wait until he’s back in the village where he belongs. It’s bound to be explosive.”
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
