Emmerdale spoilers: Vanessa Woodfield takes drastic action after confirming Charity danger

Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) has been trying to impress an old business acquaintance to win herself some trade.

Charity believes she has mystery figure wrapped around her little finger, completely unaware she is being played.

However, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) overhears the mogul reveal his plans to do a number on Charity, and her face suggest that she’s not going to let this happen to the woman she loves.

A new teaser clip shows Vanessa’s determined face as she resolves to do anything and everything to get her lover out of this potentially tricky situation.

The scene will take place at the sustainability awards ceremony at Home Farm, where Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) wonders whether he’ll ever be able to seal the deal for a haulage company.

Charity talks to Vanessa in confidence and tells her not to worry about the businessman and that she has everything under control, yet Vanessa isn’t very impressed by her claims.

Crafty Vanessa spills wine on his shirt in the middle of the ceremony, which then goes from bad to worse.

She overhears him tell his acquaintance: “She thinks she’s hustling me. Got one over on me back in the day. Thinks I didn’t notice.”

He continues: “Why pay someone to do something I could do for myself?

“With a bit of luck, I could send the competition into bankruptcy.”

He heads to the police station to report the recent sighting of Joe following on from Kim’s dastardly threat to Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).

She asks Cain to sleep with her, and in return, she’ll ensure that his name is cleared of the murder.

Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) is so desperate for Cain to be in the clear that she even tells him to go for it.

In her mind, it’ll be the best and only way to get rid of Kim for good and to make sure they don’t get thrown into prison. But will her plan work?

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV from 7pm.
