As David is warned of Maya’s early release, he faces the dilemma of whether to tell his stepson about the news.
He will go to Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) for advice, where the pair ultimately decide that Jacob has a right to know what’s going on.
Matthew stated: “Now, David at this point doesn’t know whether to tell Jacob or not, because Jacob at the moment is doing really well.
“David feels like he’s almost turned a corner, he’s not necessarily over Maya or over the abuse but he’s definitely turned a corner, he’s started going to counselling and David thinks if he tells him this, this could cause all sorts of problems,” he noted.
