Emmerdale has hinted at a romance for two characters who are together in real life, as Brenda Walker and Eric Pollard are set to find love together.
Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that the pair are set to find love after both being unlucky in the romance department in recent years.
Actors Lesley Dunlop and Chris Chittell are married in real life, tying the knot back in 2016 after eight years of dating.
In next week’s episodes, Eric will impress cafe owner Brenda with his new healthy snacks at the B&B.
His grandson Jacob becomes suspicious he might carry a torch for Brenda as he encourages Brenda to try out his new range of nibbles.
He even offers to buy her a drink at the Woolpack, convincing Jacob further that they might like each other.
The pair already shared a brief romance back in 2012, but both moved on with other partners.
Eric’s girlfriend Faith Dingle suddenly departed the soap at the end of last year after she fell out with her family, and his wife Val tragically died back in 2015.

Meanwhile, Brenda split with Bob Hope last year after he cheated on her with Laurel Thomas, leaving her devastated.
She also had a brief romance with Doug Potts, but he left the soap last month to move to Australia.
The couple is not the only ones to find love on the soap, with David Metcalfe actor Matthew Wolfenden and Debbie Dingle actress Charley Webb getting married and having three children.
Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle, and Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona Goskirk are also married with two children.
