Elton John calls David Walliams his 'lover' in hilarious Lorraine interview



Lorraine Kelly went into hysterics as she interviewed Elton John alongside David Walliams on today’s show.

She asked the pair if they were close friends.

Elton John replied saying: “We’re lovers actually.”

While Britain’s Got Talent judge David added: “He left me for Piers Morgan.”

David and Elton confirmed they are both close friends, and that their children are also close with each other.

Later in the interview, Lorraine asked Elton about his sons and whether they called him Daddy or Elton.

David joked with the singing legend: “I call you daddy sometimes.”

Elton was discussing touring for the last time with the breakfast television host.

He revealed that he won’t tour again as he wants to be there for his sons, Zachary, 8 and Elijah, 6.

The Your Song hitmaker said: “That will be it for touring.

“I wanted a purpose in my life, and I was given a purpose with these two boys,

“I don’t want to be away from them.”

Elton is currently on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour which began in in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 8 September 2018.

His final tour and will consist of more than 300 concerts worldwide.

Lorraine spoke to Elton amid his sell-out Q&A with David Walliams on Tuesday.

Promoting the release of his new autobiography, Sir Elton was interviewed by David about his incredible life and career.

He became emotional as he opened up about his relationship with late Freddie Mercury.

Elton said: “There’s nobody like Freddie. He was larger than life. So funny, so gifted. So talented in what he wanted to do in his videos. Using ballet dancing. He had such an incredible mind and was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met and was so wonderful to spend time with.

“We just used to sit there and dish the dirt basically. And do drugs. And dish the dirt and laugh and laugh and laugh. There was a club in London on Jermyn street that I used to go to a lot. We were there every night.”
