The long-awaited Future Press strategy guide for Elden Ring is finally up for pre-order, but it’s so massive it’s had to be split into two volumes.
Nobody, whatever they tell you, manages to beat a From Software game like Dark Souls or Bloodborne without a little help, whether it’s in-game from other players or a community wiki.
The games are so full of secrets, and danger, that if you really want help it’s best to get it from the horse’s mouth, which is why the official guides are so treasured, even though they traditionally come out long after the games themselves.
Elden Ring first busted blocks back in March and the much anticipated Future Press guides won’t be out until July, but rather than being late to the party they’re likely to sell out instantly – so the fact that they’ve gone up for pre-order on Amazon is something you’ll want to take advantage of as soon as possible.
Pre-order Elden Ring – Books Of Knowledge, Volume I: The Lands Between from Future Press
Elden Ring is so big a game that the guide has been split into two volumes, with the first one, name The Lands Between, covering the whole of the game map, including every dungeon and underground area.
Its promises to feature every last inch of the game world and is filled with over 100 detailed maps, plus bios and quest guides for all of the main characters that you meet on your travels.
The guide isn’t cheap, but it’s a hardcover and has tons of full colour illustrations from the developers, many of which have never been seen anywhere else.
Pre-order Elden Ring – Books Of Knowledge, Volume II: Shards of the Shattering from Future Press
While the first volume is dedicated to the world of Elden Ring and its more coherent inhabitants, the second volume focuses on its enemy creatures and the infamously difficult bosses.
Every single monster, and all of the over 100 bosses are featured, complete with detailed stats and strategies on how to beat them, as well as information on their often tragic backstories.
There’s also more general information on the game’s combat systems, as well as all the hundreds of different weapons and items you can pick up along the way.
While other online guides are forced to just guess about the origins of the various creatures, the information here represents all the official information you’re ever likely to get.
