Because the ellipse will unfold entirely in the nightside of Earth, some parts of the globe will be excluded from the event.
According to astronomer Tom Kerss, the eclipse will be visible from Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
Here in the UK, you will be able to watch the entire show uninterrupted.
This does, however, mean hopeful stargazers in North and South America will be excluded.
