easyJet has cancelled all its flights to Israel for the next six months due to increasing tension in the Middle East.
The budget carrier has said it will not reopen routes to Tel Aviv until at least October 27.
Customers who had already purchased a ticket for one of the cancelled routes have already been offered a refund.
A spokesperson said: “As a result of the continued evolving situation in Israel, easyJet has now taken the decision to suspend its flights to Tel Aviv for the remainder of the summer season.
“Customers booked to fly on this route up to this date are being offered options, including a full refund.”
Flights had already been suspended until April 21 but the ban has now been extended until October.
Iran’s missile assault on Israel on April 13 has caused chaos for many airlines with KLM, United Airlines and Wizz Air among those forced to reroute flights.
easyJet said online that customers who are currently in Tel Aviv can contact the airline’s customer services team to discuss their options.
An airline spokesperson said: “We are continuing to closely monitor the situation. The safety and security of our passengers and crew is always our highest priority.”
The UK Government currently advises against all but essential travel to Tel Aviv and many other areas of Israel. It advises against all travel to Gaza, the West Bank and areas of northern Israel.
The Government warned: “We recognise this a fast-moving situation that poses significant risks. The situation has potential to deteriorate quickly and without warning.”
