EastEnders spoilers: Gray Atkins abuse finally exposed as he hit out at his children?

EastEnders viewers have watched Chantelle Atkins (played by Jessica Plummer) suffer at the hands of abusive husband Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander-Smith) but her loved ones have no idea what is going on behind closed doors. However, when Gray snaps at their children Chantelle may be persuaded to expose his sinister behaviour once and for all.

BBC viewers have watched Chantelle endure Gray’s abuse for months but she has yet to find the courage to speak out.

Recently, Gray dragged his wife upstairs to force her to try for another baby after suffering a miscarriage.

He then exploded a few weeks later and broke Chantelle’s arm as she tried to get away from him.

Chantelle still remains loyal to her husband and has kept his dark secret from her family.

However, in upcoming episodes Chantelle realises it’s not just her own safety that’s at risk.

The situation escalates when Gray agrees to be Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) lawyer after she is charged with murder for Leo King’s (Tom Wells) death.

Whitney insists the attack was in self-defence but Gray thinks she’s hiding something and the pressure gets to him.

After agreeing to take the case, Chantelle is horrified when she sees him lash out at their children Mackenzie and Mia.

While Mick and Linda’s marriage looked all but over, crew on the boat announced everyone needed to get to the top deck as the boat was sinking.

Mick realised Linda was nowhere to be seen and hurried around the boat to try and find her.

Furious with her husband for “cheating” on her with Whitney, Linda attempted to climb up to a shelf to grab a bottle of alcohol.

However, when the boat jolted Linda fell to the floor leaving her leg trapped in between cupboards.

Mick rushed to her side and reassured Linda there was nothing going on with Whitney, while Linda confessed she didn’t want a divorce.

As the water level continued to rise, the landlord called out for help but to no avail.

EastEnders have confirmed one Walford resident will die during the 35th anniversary week and viewers will discover who on Friday.

Is this the end for Walford’s golden couple or will they survive the tragedy stronger than ever?

EastEnders continues tonight on BBC One at 7.30pm.
