Eamonn, married to Ruth Langsford, was rushed to hospital where he had his heart checked amid concerns.
Thankfully, all was OK and he went on to learn how to deal with panic attacks.
Reflecting on the ordeal, the presenter believes he became claustrophobic at the time due to having to fly to get home.
The father-of-four added that his dad’s sudden death was “very difficult” to deal with, adding that the worst part was not being able to say goodbye.
On Twitter this evening, the This Morning star shared a clip of him breaking down as he recalled memories of his dad.
