Eamonn Holmes: ‘Better back then’ This Morning star in awkward comment amid NTAs throwback


The television presenter took to Twitter to share a throwback of the moment he presented the National Television Awards, which aired its 25th ceremony tonight. 

Eamonn was pictured with black hair as he sported a suit while speaking on the stage.

In view of his 997,000 followers, he wrote: “When it all began. 1995 and I was the first host. That was The Golden Age of T!  NTAs.”

Many of his fans commented on the post, with one writing: “Fantastic!!! and you’re still an excellent host miss you @SkyNews you were an asset to the news love your work xx.”

He added of his wife Ruth Langsford: “The NTAs is the only time Ruth lets me eat junk food.

“While some are out partying all night, we drive home once the doors have closed.

“My wife, whose body is a temple, always chastises me in regards fatty foods, except at the NTAs, because she’s had a long day, she’s all dressed up, she’s won an award and she’s had alcohol.”

Tonight, couple, who tied the knot in 2010, put on a cosy display on the red carpet.
