THIS Morning’s Eamonn Holmes asked his fans for medical advice as he showed off his “worrying” bloodshot eye.
The presenter, 60, shared the bloody eye to his 383,000 followers on Instagram.
He captioned the photo: “This appeared today… should I be worried?”
He then shared an illustrated portrait of his eye made by artist Colin Davidson.
This post was captioned: “For the Record… As my friend, the artists Colin Davidson illustrates, this is the way my eye normally looks.”
The third image was then John Wayne in 1969 movie True Grit, where he is donning the famous eyepatch.
The host then said: “Just incase you don’t recognise me … this could well be how I’ll look #thismorning tomorrow if I need an eye patch ! True Grit that’s me .”
He managed to get some medical advice from his followers, including TV personality Lizzie Cundy who said: “Get some chloramphenicol drops ASAP.”
One fan said: “I had one before – just a burst blood vessel it went after a few days but sometimes can be a sign of high Blood Pressure so worth getting it checked”
Another added: “No just blood vessel that burst you will be fine”
Eamonn normally hosts This Morning on Fridays alongside his wife Ruth Langsford.
He caused mild controversy earlier this month when he cracked a joke after Phillip Schofield came out.
Offering his support Eamonn cracked a joke saying he thought Phil was going to say he had resigned and that he could have his job.
Making Phillip crack up, he said: “I am disappointed in a couple of ways. First of all I thought you were going to come in and announce you had resigned and I could have your job but that wasn’t to be.
“And the second thing, there is this great imponderable in life that has always bothered me I thought how come he can sit in a hot tub with Holly Willoughby and Steph doesn’t have a problem and Dan doesn’t have a problem.”
