E.T. star Henry Thomas’ DUI arrest case is still ongoing after a police officer claims the actor tampered with his urine test.
The 48-year-old was arrested on 21 October in Oregon, allegedly passed out behind the wheel of his care and stopped in the middle of a residential intersection.
TMZ claims the actor refused to complete field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer, so he was taken to the station for a urine test.
In the report by the Tualatin PD, which the gossip site claims to have seen, the actor allegedly went to the toilet to get the provide his urine sample.
Last month it had been revealed that the former child star won’t face jail time after accepting a plea deal.
Thomas pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and reckless driving.
According to TMZ, the actor – also known for his role in The Haunting of Hill House – will pay a $500 (£385) fine and will enter a diversion program, a type of rehabilitation which aims to allow the offender to avoid conviction and remedy their behaviour.
Thomas will also have to attend a victim impact panel and have an ignition interlock device installed in his car.
The actor is best known for his role as Elliott in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 classic E.T, for which he was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Actor and for which he won the Best Actor honour at the Young Artist Awards.
And fans have fallen back in love with him in the role thanks to Sky’s heartwarming Christmas advert this year.
Henry has been married to wife Annalee Fery since 2009, with whom he has two children, Evelyn and Henry; he also has a daughter Hazel with ex-wife Marie Zielcke, and was also previously married to Kelly Hill.
