Drag Race winner Aquaria savages Theresa May after PM lends her support

The Prime Minister was savaged by Drag Race winner Aquaria after lending her support to a charity drag competition.

Aquaria, who won the tenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2018, told the Prime Minister to “get your policies together”, before she felt “comfortable enjoying out art.”

The unlikely exchange happened after the PM was asked whether she is a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race after she wrote to a contestant in a charity drag competition.

The Twitter exchange

Ben Tye, who has made it through to the final of the first ever UK charity drag pageant, Miss Drag UK, received a letter from the PM and signed photo.

Mrs May wished him luck with the fundraising and the pageant.

Referencing a story in Ben Tye’s local paper the Gazette in Colchester, the BBC’s Chris Gibson asked: “Is the Prime Minister a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race?”
