Dr Pimple Popper gave a woman life-changing surgeries after an allergic reaction to ear piercings caused huge growths covering both her ears.
Jennifer, 29, appeared on the show after suffering for 11 years with huge lumps on her ears, after an allergic reaction caused the growths to appear.
The painful lumps first appeared when she was 18 years old, after suffering an allergic reaction to cartilage piercings.
The piercing caused scar tissue to swell to a massive size and then stay that way – leaving Jennifer struggling to deal with them ever since.
She has had to try and cover them with her hair and scarves around her head ever since, for fear of being mocked and ridiculed.
Dr Sandra Lee – the Pimple Popper herself – finally gave her the life-changing surgery that gave Jennifer her ears back on her TV show.
The official diagnosis was a severe case of keloids – a scar tissue overgrowth triggered by trauma to the skin.
Skin growths such as this are, luckily, Pimple Popper’s forte, and after a surgery Jennifer was finally given her ears back with no more growth.
Removing 14 ounces of weight from the area, Dr Lee later confessed they were the ‘biggest she’d ever seen.’
‘I had to take off more of the ear than expected,’ Dr Lee told the cameras. ‘After removal, the four keloids weighed nearly 14 ounces.’
But Jennifer is more than happy with the results of the surgery, and later said: ‘Everything has changed for the better. No more headaches, no more vertigo.’
‘I don’t need to hide. Dr Lee gave me a future. She pretty much saved me.’
