The festival will instead return in June 2022, and promises to be bigger and better than ever with three huge headliners.

Posting on their website, Download confirmed that “following the announcement of the Government’s roadmap and despite the extraordinary efforts the NHS have put in to roll out the vaccine we can sadly now confirm that Download Festival will no longer be taking place this year, but we have exciting news for 2022.”
They have announced they’ll be back on June 10 – 12 2022, with headliners KISS, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro.

Those who had tickets for the 2021 edition will be able to carry them over to next year.
