And her family setup often provokes rude questions from trolls, including when she’s asked “do you know what contraception is?” or “do you know what a TV is?”

Responding in a Reel on her Instagram page, Bronte wrote: “I’ve heard of a TV, aren’t they those black & white screens with those wires sticking out the top??

“Seriously though… not all our children were planned but all the pregnancies certainly were.

“I’m not against contraception, I’ve used multiple forms in my lifetime.

“Just because someone has a lot of children doesn’t mean they ‘do it’ like rabbits.

“There’s just so many different scenarios & levels of fertility in the world – this comment is ridiculous!”

Bronte is also asked how she can keep having children when “the world is overpopulated already”.

“I believe I’m creating the kind of people the world needs,” she hit back.

“That my purpose is in my children.

“Maybe I birth the next Einstein, maybe my son grows up to cure cancer or stop global warming, how am I to know that they don’t grow up to be exactly what this universe needs.

‘Stop parentifying your kids’ people slam as family-of-11 show off homeschool life which others call ‘rotten & weird’

“But I am 100% certain that I’m following the calling for my own life.

“It also depends who you speak to because some experts believe we’re facing a huge population drop because of the lack of new births/ageing community.”

And when it comes to how Bronte’s body has recovered after giving birth to four kids, she “can happily say my body isn’t broken”.

“I’m fortunate to have good genetics, a healthy lifestyle & a lot of determination to ‘bounce’ back into shape despite a mammoth effort by my body,” she said.

Bronte has three sons, and one daughter, and is also often asked if she just “kept trying until” she had a girl.

“Although we longed for a girl, we never conceived with the thought that a boy wasn’t ‘good enough’,” she insisted.

“We love & are grateful for all our children.”

Bronte concluded her post by answering the question of whether or not she’s worried any of her kids won’t get enough attention.

“Not one bit!” she said.

“I love the big family dynamics of our ‘big’ family.

“I think it teaches kids so much to have lots of siblings!”

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “I had 5 sons in 9 years.

“I found the comments random people made to me so distressing that I stopped taking them all shopping with me because I didn’t like them hearing the 99.9% negative comments.”

“I had my first child a week after I turned 40!” another added.

“This is after being single and alone for over 10 years!

“A pure acquaintance, when talking in company one day, asked me, ‘Why’d you wait so long before you had kids?’

“I was mortified!”

“I hardly can keep the sarcasm out of my answers!” a third wrote.

“I have 3, 18mths and 20mths apart…..but also get asked why I haven’t had another baby to even it out to 2 boys, 2 girls.”
