Desparate Housewives star Teri Hatcher made a surprise appearance on All Round To Mrs Brown’s, but made a bit of a blunder when she referred to Ireland as part of the UK.

Bit awks.

Viewers were surprised to say the least when the 54-year-old rocked up on the show.

However, things immediately got a bit awkward when she said she loves the UK – when the show’s meant to be set in Ireland.

‘We’re in Ireland!’ Agnes, played by Brendan O’Carroll, hastily pointed out.

‘It’s my first time to Ireland,’ Teri quickly clarified, before Mrs Brown shadily quipped: ‘Evidently.’

Sitting down at the kitchen table, the pair also chatted about Teri’s history of being on the swim team at school, where she was unfortunately nicknamed ‘Hairy Teri.’

‘Be nice!’ she urged Mrs Brown after spilling her secrets, pointing out that she was being ‘vulnerable.’

Viewers were obsessed with the pairing, with some taking to Twitter to point out how bizarre it was.

‘Why is Teri Hatcher speaking to Mrs Brown? WHAT THE F*** IS HAPPENING?’ one confused fan asked.

‘Teri – “I love the UK.” Mrs Brown – “WE’RE IN IRELAND,”’ another mock tweeted.

‘Anyone else think Teri Hatcher was told she was going on a popular talk show in the UK hosted by an Irish comedian and presumed it was Graham Norton not Mrs Brown’s Boys?’ one more viewer asked.

There’s a distinct possibility, tbh.

Brendan recently revealed how the Irish mammy is able to get away with her filthy jokes.

‘I don’t know how she does it,’ admitted Brendan. ‘I think the BBC ought to be ashamed of themselves, somebody should tell them.’

‘She gets away with things he’d [Brendan] never get away with,’ commented his wife Jennifer Gibney.

Revealing his thoughts, Brendan said: ‘I think it’s a combination that she’s not just a woman, but an elderly woman and it seems to disarm people.’
